The All Nations Soccer League (ANSL) is a league where people from all walks of life, including immigrants and refugees, can come and unite under two similarities: their faith and their love of soccer. The league now serves as a sanctuary for those who have traveled to the United States searching for a better life. ANSL helps refugees ease into their new lives here so that, hopefully, they can work past any trauma they may have experienced in their home countries and become good citizens of this country.
Katie Garwood and I spent time with a few of the players and those who helped start the league to find out what about the sport brings people together.
